Home Buyer System pay enhanced fees for conveyancing referrals 17 February 2010 Home Buyer Systems has announced that it will pay its users enhanced fees for conveyancing referrals made via Home Buyer, under a new scheme entitled “Quid Pro Quo” The Quid Pro Quo payment of £7.50 per case is additional to the standard referral fee paid to brokers by the conveyancing provider. It has been designed to cover the cost of using the Home Buyer software, by referring one sale and purchase case per month the monthly cost of HBSLite will be covered, with all other referrals earning additional income for the broker. Currently the scheme applies to referrals to Easier2Move and RG Solicitors – Home Buyer's first conveyancing partner companies – but it will extended to cover other suppliers that may partner with Home Buyer Systems in future. Richard Angliss explains: “As the challenging market conditions for brokers continue, we feel that the broker community needs some extra support. "By introducing the Quid Pro Quo payment for conveyancing referrals through our system, we are making it possible for brokers to give their customers easy access to an excellent conveyancing service, earn the standard commission paid by the conveyancing supplier, and also earn an extra payment from us that will discount their licence fee for using the Home Buyer software. John Whyte of Whyte Financial is one of the first Home Buyer users to register for Quid Pro Quo (QPQ) and refer a case to Easier2Move. He says: “Ever heard the saying 'There is no such thing as a free lunch'? Well I think registering for QPQ is as close as you get. If you are providing the option of conveyancing for your client and using one of the two firms offered by HBS why would you not register for QPQ? "Your client gets - what I have so far found to be - a very competitive conveyancing cost combined with the safety net of having their transaction covered by a protection policy that will pay back their conveyancing and lender fees, should the purchase not proceed. "Assuming the case proceeds as normal, as in the case of my first bit of business with Easier2Move, you get regular emailed updates on progress and upon completion you are paid a referral fee from the solicitors and a contribution from QPQ towards your monthly subscription cost of HBS. It's a no brainer, why wouldn't you want to register for QPQ?” |
